Serving as operations director at Unidrug Distribution Group Mark Langton specializes in healthcare solutions is experienced in 3rd party in house and e-commerce, delivering to retail, wholesale and end users both on a national and global scale.
Mark attributes his success to the strong family support he received and his own willingness to learn from others. His proudest moment was getting custody of his 2 children as he brought them up as a single parent whilst maintaining a career.
Mark is currently focused on challenging himself in a direction he thought he would never be able to take and would like to become a Managing Director. He began his working career in a warehouse and found that he had a passion and desire to constantly improve the process. He found the environment challenging and exciting where everyday was different and that made his work both enjoyable and rewarding.
Unidrug Distribution Group was formed as a joint venture between Unichem PLC & United
Drug of Ireland in order to provide a new service to the Pharmaceutical companies. At the time - 1995, the route to market for most Pharmaceutical manufacturers was direct to wholesale.
In order to make the manufacturing process more efficient, volume was required. As wholesalers could not store the amount of product required to meet those efficiencies thus the Pre-Wholesale environment was created. Over time more & more manufacturers followed the same model; which has resulted in the Pre-Wholesale model growing at over 15% year on year.
